TeamBase

1. General

TeamBase is a community platform designed to connect people for neighborhood sports activity: creating sports groups, creating and managing matches, inviting and joining players, and tracking match history and statistics. As of the date of this update, the Service is focused on the sport of soccer (football).

Use of the Service, including browsing the site, registering, creating a group or a match, or participating in any other way, constitutes full and unqualified agreement to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. Anyone who does not agree to any of these Terms is asked to refrain from using the Service.

These Terms are drafted in the masculine form for convenience only, and apply equally to all genders.

2. Definitions

• "User" - any person using the Service, whether registered or not.
• "Group" - a sports group (currently soccer) created by a user on the Platform.
• "Group Creator" - the user who created the Group, holding full administrative permissions over it.
• "Group Admin" - the Group Creator, and any user appointed by them with management permissions.
• "Match" - a scheduled sports event, whether created within an existing Group or as a stand-alone match not associated with any Group.

3. Registration and Eligibility

The Service is intended solely for users aged 18 and over, for privacy and safety reasons. Registration and use of the Service by anyone under the age of 18 is strictly prohibited.

Users may register for the Service using an email address and password, or by signing in through a Google or Apple account (OAuth).

In addition to the standard registration process, there is an abbreviated registration flow intended for users who were invited to join an existing Group (for example, via a WhatsApp invite link). In both registration flows, the age field is mandatory and is used to verify compliance with the minimum age requirement (18 and over) for using the Service.

Completion of registration is conditional on active confirmation (checkbox) that the user has read and agreed to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy, alongside a link to this document. Without checking this box and completing the age field, registration cannot be completed, and the system will display an error message preventing the account from being saved.

The user undertakes that all details provided during registration are true, accurate and up to date, and that they will update them if and when they change.

TeamBase reserves the right to block, suspend or delete a user account found to have been used in violation of these Terms, including use by a minor.

4. The User Account

• The user is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login details and for all activity carried out through their account.
• Personal profile details may be edited and updated at any time via the profile page on the site.
• The account may be deleted independently at any time via the profile page. Account deletion is an irreversible action.
• Following account deletion, TeamBase may continue to retain certain information, to the extent required for compliance with legal requirements, dispute resolution, or enforcement of these Terms.

5. Description of the Service and Platform Activity

5.1 Creating and Managing Groups

Any registered user may create a sports Group and add players to it. Each Group has a dedicated page displaying the Group's details, member list, match history, and an internal payment-tracking tool between Group members (see Section 7). Groups with access to the Premium tier (see Section 8) additionally enjoy a photo/video gallery and consolidated seasonal statistics.

The Group Creator, and users appointed by them as Admins, hold full administrative authority over the Group, including: approving and declining join requests, setting the Group's status (open or closed to joining), updating members' skill and fitness levels, changing members' display nicknames within that Group only (without affecting the user's general site username), appointing additional Admins, and removing members from the Group.

TeamBase provides the technological infrastructure only and is not a party to the administrative decisions made within a Group. TeamBase is not responsible for the content, conduct, or decisions made by Group creators and admins in the course of managing their Groups.

5.2 Creating Matches

• Within an existing Group: a scheduled match intended for Group members may be created, specifying a field address, date/time, team composition and size, and required equipment.
• A stand-alone match (not associated with a Group): via the "Find a Match" page, users may create a one-off, neighborhood soccer match and search for participants among all site users. This type of match has a more limited feature set compared to a match within a permanent Group (for example, no photo gallery).
• The creator of a stand-alone match may set eligibility requirements for joining it, including minimum skill and fitness levels, an age range, and gender. These requirements are set solely by the match creator, at their discretion, and are used to filter the matches displayed to a user based on the profile they completed.
• The Platform offers a team-balancing tool ("Balance Teams") that operates based on skill, fitness, and play-style levels entered by users or Group admins. This is a technological aid only, intended to assist with a relatively fair division, and does not constitute a commitment to any particular outcome.

5.3 Searching for Matches and Distance Display

On the "Find a Match" page, users may filter open, stand-alone matches by city and additional characteristics (such as field type and team size).

In addition, a dedicated button ("Show distance from me") allows a user to request that the distance between their current location and the displayed match fields be shown. Clicking this button, and only clicking it, triggers a location-permission (Geolocation) request from the user's browser or device, subject to the permission the user actually grants at that moment. Declining to grant location permission, or simply not clicking the button, does not impair the ability to use the other features of the "Find a Match" page, including filtering by city.

5.4 Field Address and Weather

For the purpose of displaying match details, a user creating a match may enter the address of the field where the match will take place. The address is used to display information to match participants, and to automatically retrieve a weather forecast for the match's date and time via third-party services (see details in the Privacy Policy). For the avoidance of doubt, TeamBase does not collect or request users' private home addresses - only the address of the sports field itself is collected.

5.5 Joining a Group

A Group may be joined in three alternative ways:

• Personal invitation - via a WhatsApp invite link shared by the Group admin.
• Join code - a dedicated code generated by the Group admin and shared with players, entered via the "My Groups" page.
• Independent join request - Groups marked as "open" by the admin are displayed on the site's public soccer page. Any user may send a join request, including a personal message, and the Group admin decides - at their sole discretion - whether to approve or decline it.

5.6 Permanent Members (Subscribers) of a Group

A Group admin may mark members as "Permanent Players" - an internal status used to manage steady attendance and the ongoing operation of Groups with a stable roster. This status is an internal management tool only and is not related to, and does not constitute, a paid subscription with TeamBase.

5.7 Internal Player Ratings

Following matches held within a Group, the Platform allows Group members to rate other players who participated in that match. Ratings are used for the internal purposes of that Group only, are visible solely to its members, and are not displayed or shared outside the Group.

5.8 Group Chat and Match Chat

The Platform enables Group members, and at times participants of a specific match, to communicate with one another via a built-in chat on the site. Chat communications are subject to the conduct rules set out in Section 10 below, including the obligation to maintain respectful communication free of offensive language.

5.9 Internal Group Rules

A Group admin may draft and publish their own internal rules for Group members (for example, attendance rules, conduct rules, or punctuality requirements) via a dedicated text editor on the Group page. These rules are an internal addition of that Group only, do not form part of the TeamBase Terms of Use, and may not derogate from them or from applicable law. TeamBase does not draft, does not pre-approve, and is not responsible for the content of rules published by a Group admin.

5.10 Group Gatherings and Local Tournaments

The Platform offers Group admins tools for collecting attendance confirmations for Group events (such as a social gathering), as well as a tool for creating a local tournament for Group members, including drawing teams/participants and building a match bracket. These are technical and organizational tools only; organizing the event, choosing its location (including events held at a private home), and its actual conduct are the sole responsibility of the event organizer and the Group admin. TeamBase is not a party to the event, is not responsible for any damage, injury, or dispute arising within it, and does not supervise its content or conduct.

5.11 Friends System and Personal Messages

In addition to Group membership, the Platform offers a general "Friends" system: a user may send a friend request to another user, who may accept or decline it. Once accepted, the two users become "friends," which enables them to send each other personal (private) messages directly on the site, as well as to directly invite each other to matches. A friendship may be removed at any time. A user's friends list is visible to that user only and is not displayed to other users. Communication via personal messages is subject to the same conduct rules that apply to Group chat (see Section 10).

6. User Content and the Group Gallery

• In Groups with access to the gallery feature (currently part of the future Premium tier, see Section 8), Group members may upload photos, and in the future also video clips, from the Group's matches.
• The responsibility for ensuring that consent has been obtained from Group members before uploading visual content featuring them, including compliance with applicable Israeli law (including the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981), rests exclusively with the Group admin. TeamBase provides the technological capability to upload content and does not supervise such consents in advance and is not a party to them.
• A user wishing to have visual content in which they appear removed may submit a detailed request to the contact details set out in Section 14 below, and the request will be reviewed and handled on a case-by-case basis.
• Uploading content that is offensive, harassing, infringing of copyright, unlawful, or that violates another person's privacy without their consent is strictly prohibited on the Platform.

7. Payments Between Users

TeamBase does not charge any fee for basic use of the Service, does not mediate monetary transfers, and is not a party to any financial arrangement made between users. All of the financial features described below are internal tracking and management tools only:

• The "Payments" tab on a Group page - shows the Group admin a list of players who participated in a particular match, as an aid for managing shared costs (such as field rental). The final decision as to who among the participants is required to pay, and how much, rests with the Group admin alone and does not involve any participation by TeamBase.
• Creating a paid, stand-alone match - the creator of a stand-alone match (for example, one who has rented a soccer field) may mark that participation in the match involves a payment, and specify the amount required, for the purpose of coordination among participants. Displaying the amount is purely informational; the actual collection, payment method, and timing and manner of transfer take place directly between the users, outside the Platform, and at their sole responsibility.
• Payment link for Group subscribers - a Group admin who charges permanent subscribers a fee (for example, for a monthly subscription) may enter a link to an external payment method of their choosing (such as common payment apps). The link is entered and controlled solely by the Group admin; TeamBase merely displays it as information to Group members and does not operate, mediate, or bear responsibility for the payment method or the actual collection process.

8. Paid Service Tier ("Premium") - In Development

TeamBase is developing a future paid service tier ("Premium") that has not yet launched and is not available for purchase or subscription as of the date of this update.

The features planned for the Premium tier include, among others: advanced team balancing based on actual match performance data rather than only manually entered levels; access to the Group's photo and video gallery; access to consolidated seasonal statistics, combining data from multiple matches into a comprehensive seasonal picture; and automatic capture of goal moments and their storage in the Group gallery.

As long as the paid tier has not been officially launched, all features currently displayed on the Platform, including those described above, are available for use at no cost.

Upon launch of the paid tier, these Terms will be updated to include the full purchase terms, including price, billing method, cancellation and refund policy, and any other relevant terms, before any actual purchase becomes possible.

9. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Service, including (but not limited to) the site's design, source code, logo, trademarks, and user interface, are the exclusive property of TeamBase or its licensors, and may not be used in any way without prior express written consent.

Content uploaded by a user (photos, nicknames, messages) remains their property; however, by uploading it to the Platform, the user grants TeamBase a non-exclusive license, for the sole purpose of operating the Service (for example, displaying the content to the relevant Group's members).

10. Rules of Conduct and Prohibited Use

When using the Service, users must refrain from:

• Harassing, threatening, defaming, or otherwise harming another user.
• Impersonating another person or entity, or providing false details.
• Uploading content that is unlawful, offensive, racist, or infringes intellectual property rights.
• Using profanity, curse words, or any other offensive language in Group chats, match chats, and personal messages between users - communication on the Platform, across all its channels, must be conducted respectfully and courteously toward all users.
• Using the Service for any unlawful purpose, including violating the Protection of Privacy Law.
• Any attempt to disrupt, hack, or gain unauthorized access to the Platform's systems.

TeamBase reserves the right to remove content, and to suspend or block the account of a user who violates any provision of this Section, at its sole discretion and without the need for prior notice.

11. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as-is," without any warranty as to its fitness for a particular purpose or its continuous, error-free availability.

TeamBase is not responsible for any direct or indirect damage caused to a user as a result of meeting or interacting with other users in the context of sports activity organized through the Platform, including (but not limited to) sports injuries, property damage, financial disputes, or any incident occurring in the context of a match or gathering coordinated through the Service.

Each user bears personal responsibility for ensuring they are medically fit to participate in sports activity, and for acting responsibly and carefully during matches.

TeamBase does not perform background checks or identity verification of users beyond what is required during the registration process, and is not responsible for the identity, conduct, or reliability of other users.

12. Changes to These Terms

TeamBase may update these Terms from time to time, including as a result of changes to the Service, to applicable law, or for other operational reasons. An update to these Terms will take effect upon publication on the site, and continued use of the Service following publication constitutes agreement to the updated terms. Users are advised to review these Terms from time to time.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms, and anything arising from them, shall be governed solely by the laws of the State of Israel. Exclusive jurisdiction over any matter relating to these Terms and to the use of the Service is vested in the competent courts of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa district.

This Privacy Policy forms an integral part of the Terms of Use and explains what data TeamBase collects, how it is stored and used, and with whom it may be shared, in connection with the use of the Platform.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Provided Directly by the User

• Registration details: email address, first and last name, gender, age (a mandatory field, used among other things to verify compliance with the minimum age requirement - 18 and over), country, city, and preferred language.
• In the abbreviated registration flow (via an invitation to join a Group): name, city, and age.
• Sports profile details: skill level, fitness level, and play style, as entered by the user.
• Profile picture, as well as photos and videos uploaded by the user to a Group gallery (where applicable).
• Content written by the user on the site, including messages in Group chat, match chat, and personal (private) messages within the Friends system.

2.2 Information Generated Through Use of the Service

• Details of Groups and matches the user has created, joined, or participated in, including participation history and results.
• Internal ratings between players following matches - given only within a closed Group, among members of that same Group, and used for the Group's internal purposes.
• Sports field addresses entered by users for the purpose of creating matches - for the avoidance of doubt, these are not users' private home addresses.
• In-app notifications generated as a result of actions on the site - for example, a notification to a Group admin about a new join request. These are not push notifications, SMS text messages, or email dispatches.
• Friend connections within the "Friends" system (friend requests sent/received, and approval status), used to enable sending personal messages and direct match invitations. A user's friends list is visible to that user only and is not displayed to third parties or other users.

2.3 Technical, Analytics, and Cookie Information

• Internal usage data (Analytics) collected solely for the purpose of operating the Platform, tracking the registration process, testing, and troubleshooting. This information is used for TeamBase's internal operational purposes and is not used for third-party advertising purposes.
• Cookies and local browser storage (Local Storage), used for functional purposes only - for example, temporarily storing a Group join code during the joining process, and saving the user's personal display preferences on the site.

2.4 Real-Time Geographic Location (Geolocation)

3. How We Use the Information

The information collected is used for a variety of operational purposes, including:

• Providing and operating the Service on an ongoing basis, including creating Groups and matches, managing membership, and displaying match details.
• Verifying age eligibility (18+) and ensuring compliance with the Terms of Use.
• Retrieving a weather forecast for an entered match address and date/time.
• Calculating the distance between a user's location (to the extent permission was granted) and match fields, at the user's active request only.
• Improving the Service, fixing faults, and preventing misuse of the Platform.
• Contacting the user regarding matters related to their account or the Service.

4. Sharing Information with Third Parties

TeamBase does not sell, rent, or transfer users' personal details to third parties for marketing purposes without the user's consent. That said, information may be shared with the following parties, to the extent required solely for operating the Service:

• Technology infrastructure providers (data storage, user authentication, and running the Service).
• External geocoding and weather services (such as address-based mapping and weather-forecast services) - for the purpose of displaying location and weather conditions for matches.
• Google and Apple - as part of the authentication and sign-in process (OAuth), in accordance with those providers' own privacy policies.
• Competent authorities - to the extent required by law, by court order, or to protect the rights of TeamBase, its users, or third parties.

5. Data Retention and Security

TeamBase employs reasonable, industry-standard security measures to protect the information stored in its systems from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, absolute protection against every risk cannot be guaranteed, and each user is asked to take reasonable precautions of their own, including maintaining the confidentiality of their login details.

Information will be retained for as long as necessary to provide the Service, and in accordance with the requirements of applicable law.

6. User Rights

Subject to applicable law, a user is entitled to:

• Review the personal information held about them in TeamBase's systems.
• Correct or update incorrect or outdated information, via the profile page on the site.
• Request the deletion of their account and the information associated with it, via the profile page on the site, or by contacting us at the contact details set out below.
• Contact us with any question or request concerning their privacy, at the address set out in Section 9.

Please note that account deletion may not apply to information TeamBase is required to retain by law, and that information shared with other players (for example, within a Group) may remain visible to them until removed on a case-by-case basis. In addition, full name and age cannot be hidden from members of a shared Group, as this information is required for the Service to function properly (see Section 2.1 above).

7. Age Requirements

The Service is intended solely for users aged 18 and over. TeamBase does not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. Should it come to light that such information has been collected, steps will be taken to delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

TeamBase may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will take effect upon publication on the site. Users are advised to review this Policy from time to time to stay informed of any changes.

2. Level of Accessibility

The site has been made accessible in accordance with Israeli Standard SI 5568 at level AA, which is based on the international WCAG 2.0 accessibility guidelines, and in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 2013.

3. Accessibility Adjustments Implemented

The following adjustments have been implemented, among others:

• Full keyboard navigation across all pages, with no dependence on a mouse.
• A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page, allowing navigation menus to be bypassed.
• A clear and visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
• Document language and reading direction declared for correct screen reader output.
• A hierarchical heading structure and alternative text for images and icons.
• Enhanced color contrast for text and interface elements.
• Touch targets sized appropriately for phone and tablet screens.

4. Parts That Are Not Fully Accessible

Some content on the site is created by users (including photos, videos and goal clips) and is not under the control of the site operators. Such content may lack captions or alternative descriptions. In addition, map components and content displayed from external services depend on the accessibility level of those providers. We continue to work on improving these components.
